Privacy Policy
What is stored, where, and what leaves your phone.
In short: no sign-up, no account, no ads, and we don't sell data. Location and motion data are processed only on your phone. We have no server that collects your information.
1. What is stored on your phone
- the names of the children and pets you added
- your contact's name and phone number, if you added them
- your settings: language, protection type, car connection
- the current drive: when it started, when and where the car stopped
- the date you accepted the terms
This information stays on your phone and is deleted when you delete the app.
2. What leaves your phone
- Contact invite: when you choose to send an invite by WhatsApp or another app, the message you chose to send goes through that app.
- Contact alert (once active): if you don't confirm an alert, your contact will get a message with your name, the names of who's in the car and the time of the stop, through Apple iCloud. Your location is not sent.
- Apple services: notifications, Shortcuts, Siri and iCloud follow Apple's privacy policy.
3. Why Peeky needs each permission
- Location "Always": to detect drives and stops even when the app is closed.
- Motion & Fitness: to tell driving from walking.
- Notifications: to remind you to look back.
- Shortcuts & Siri: to detect connecting to and disconnecting from the car, if you set it up.
4. The website
The website has no sign-up and no advertising or tracking cookies. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which may keep technical data such as IP addresses for security. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads. Your browser remembers whether you already saw the opening animation; this is not sent to anyone.
5. Children
Peeky is meant for parents and adults. Children's names are typed in by the parent and stay on their phone. We do not collect information from children.
6. Your rights
You have the right to review information about you and ask to correct it. Since the information is stored only on your phone, you can see, change and delete it in the app's settings, or delete the app. Questions: [email protected].
7. Security
Your information is protected by your phone's encryption. We don't keep a copy of it.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and in the app. A material change will be shown before you continue using the app.
